Major M H Morrow - Adaptive Sports Experience

Major M H Morrow is an adaptive athlete and veteran who participates in adaptive skiing, ski biking, and other outdoor sports. He began adaptive skiing in 2014 and has developed experience across various ski resorts. In addition to skiing at numerous different resorts in 33 states over the last dozen years, Major M H Morrow has skied independently at Snowmass in Colorado from the top of the Cirque at 12,510' elevation down to the ski resort base, an elevation drop of 4,300', the longest lift served drop in north america.

His adaptive sports record also includes longshot run at Snowmass, a 5.3-mile run with a 3,300-foot elevation drop. Major M H Morrow hiked to the starting point and then skied down the run using a ski bike as a left leg amputee. Additionally, he participated in powder skiing with Steamboat Powdercats in Colorado in 2018 and 2019. Major Morrow was a contributing sponsor for the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic from 2018 to 2025, through which disabled veterans participated in adaptive skiing, sled hockey, and snowshoeing.

Outside skiing and ski biking, Major Morrow is a certified open water scuba diver through the Handicap Scuba Association. He also volunteers with veterans organizations and the Highland County Honor Guard. His interests include outdoor sports, camping, travel, and history.
